Andrea Wimmer has more than 10 years of experience in representing consumer and non-consumer debtors in a variety of bankruptcy matters.

Ms. Wimmer is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) and was selected for ABI’s 2017 “40 Under 40” list of top young bankruptcy professionals nationwide. An inaugural member of the Arizona Bankruptcy American Inn of Court (ABAIC), Ms. Wimmer has served the organization as president, vice president and treasurer and helped ABAIC attain Platinum status in the American Inns of Court “Achieving Excellence” program. Additionally, Ms. Wimmer is treasurer of the Arizona Consumer Bankruptcy Counsel and serves on the Bankruptcy Advisory Commission to the Arizona Board of Legal Specialization.

Ms. Wimmer has been a presenter at a variety of continuing legal education events, including the State Bar of Arizona convention, the ABI Southwest Bankruptcy Conference, and Norton’s Bankruptcy Litigation Seminar. She enjoys writing and has been published in the Quinnipiac University School of Law Probate Law Journal, the Bankruptcy Journal of the State Bar of Arizona Bankruptcy Section, and the Consumer Bankruptcy Journal.

In her first position as an attorney, Ms. Wimmer rose to the position of junior partner in less than one year and was instrumental in building the firm’s consumer bankruptcy practice from the ground up. In 2010, she co-founded and headed the bankruptcy department of a boutique firm focusing on consumer bankruptcy and personal injury matters.

Ms. Wimmer is originally from Austria and came to the United States after high school to attend college and law school. She is fluent in English and German. After graduating cum laude from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2006, Ms. Wimmer relocated with her husband to Arizona.
